Here is a 'once in a lifetime" opportunity to purchase a piece of early rock n' roll history in a fantastically rare SIGNED album from my collection offered up for sale: This is a signed 1956 Clyde Hankins "Swing Fever" Lp album (privately released). This is an album of swing style music with Clyde's guitar and banjo work featured. Clyde worked at Adair Music, a local music store in Lubbock Texas. Clyde sold Buddy Holly his first Fender Stratocaster electric guitar and gave young BUDDY guitar lessons. Clyde is also credited with expanding Buddy's influences in music, introducing him to jazz and other genres. Both Vi and Norman Petty (Buddy's producer and manager) are featured on this album. This album was recorded at Petty Studios in Clovis New Mexico and it is very likely that Clyde also pointed Buddy to Petty and his studio hence restarting his career after being let go by Decca records after just two single releases. This is an original 1st pressing with the heavy vinyl and green labels, back cover has Clyde's autograph and a message to a friend. A WOW! and breath taking historical find for any Buddy Holly die hard fan! The record grades EX, is super clean and glossy, just a few small marks, looks rarely played, has been well cared for. PLAY TESTED, plays excellent from start to finish! The labels have only a couple small spindle marks. The cover rates VG, front has bright color, corner has a sticker remnant, bottom seam has partial split at opening, top and binder seams have small center splits (binder not printed), no tape, has light age spots near edges, overall minimal age discoloration! (see all photos) Album will be shipped FedEx in a record box with a tracking. The vinyl will be shipped in inner sleeve outside cover to prevent cover splits.
